Helen joined Community Bank of The Bay in 2014 as a Marketing Specialist, working with regional teams to promote the brand strategy throughout the Bay Area. In this capacity Helen led CBB’s website redesign project, managed sponsorships and organized the CBB’s annual employee event. In January 2018 she became Community Banking Officer in the Oakland Branch.
Born and raised in Oakland, Helen has a degree in Cultural Anthropology. As one of the founders of Oakland Grown, Helen advocates for small businesses and champions a thriving local economy. She supports her clients by offering practical solutions to connect community businesses to resources that support their growth and success.
Helen exemplifies the deeply-invested, community-building spirit of CBB. She is currently on the board of directors of the Oakland Interfaith Council of Alameda County, an organization working on a faith-based solution to the homelessness crisis. And she is on the Advisory Board of Oakland Makers – and Oakland Grown and a sponsor of Keep it Oakland campaign which seeks to educate consumers about the benefits of buying (and banking) locally.
