Amato Architecture was founded in 2001 by Rebecca Ivans Amato, AIA and built upon over 20 years of experience in the architecture and design industry. That experience involved commercial interior design, hospitality and hotel design, residential and retail projects both throughout the Bay Area as well as in Colorado, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. Working with developers on high end residential projects, in a design-build office as both an architect and project manager, and in smaller boutique design firms has enhanced her ability to wear many hats and creatively solve problems in all areas in the design and construction process.
As a “Build It Green” certified professional, Rebecca is dedicated to green building practices and specifies environmentally friendly products and materials, integrating natural heating and cooling methods, utilizing solar power, knowledge of indoor air quality and overall improvement of a building’s efficiency. Zero impact on the environment is consistently in the plans, with the integration of good design practices and the client’s aesthetic a top priority.
