Spark Smith Electric, Inc.

BNI Category: Electrician

I have been doing electrical work for 20+ years. I started working non union wiring apartments and houses. After a few years doing that I got into the union apprenticeship. After 5 years of learning how to do electrical work in the commercial and industrial sectors I became a Journeyman Wireman (JW). As a JW I worked on several projects like powerplants, data centers, google buildings, water treatment plantsĀ  and high-rise buildings in SF. I also worked on 2 high profile projects. The Chase Center was the first one where I set the main switch gear which is the huge distribution apparatus that disperses power throughout the building and to the 2 large buildings on the site. I also worked on all the transformers and electrical panels on the catwalk. I was on that job from before the roof was on and left after the seats were installed. After that I went to the San Francisco Giants Stadium where I worked on installing the new scoreboard. We put in the largest Scoreboard on the west coast (at the time). I also got to work on top of the lights that shine onto the field. In addition to that I also personally wired all 6 advertisement panels on either side of the scoreboard. At the end of that project I travelled to Italy for 3 weeks, I went all over Italy north of Rome and even got blessed by the pope twice, The first time was in front of the Colosseum on Good Friday and the second was at Easter Sunday Mass at the Vatican where I got to sit 3 rows from the front. After my Italy trip I came home and started working full time for my business. This was in May of 2019. I have been grinding and working hard to succeed every day, I have worked on countless homes in the bay area, I have done some explosion proof projects for a nationwide trucking company and worked on several other buildings and warehouses. I have grown as a person and a businessman. My next mountain to climb is going back to school to get a degree in construction management while still running my company and providing the best and most transparent electrical work in the bay area and California as a whole. I am committed to providing a safe place for people to work where they feel appreciated and valued.
